Why I Chose to Not be a Preferred Provider
I believe that you are the only one who should be in charge of your mental health care and that insurance should not have the right to tell you who you can see, what type of therapy you do, how often your sessions can be, the amount of time for your appointment, the number of sessions in which you should be "fixed" nor impinge on the privacy of what you discuss. Neither should you have to worry about receiving a surprise bill from your insurer clawing back a payment.
